Who We are

We are a bilingual, Lutheran congregation serving the Canadian and German community. We provide day care for 72 children and are proud to have many excellent relationships to organizations and churches in the area. We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) and the Protestant Church of Germany (EKD).  We support a day care centre in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  We have a radio devotion every Sunday in German on a multicultural radio station AM530 and church services in German at 11:00 a.m. and in English at 9:45 a.m.

Come and Worship

The focus of our community life is Sunday worship where we praise God with prayer and song. Two different language services are held every Sunday in German and English. We welcome all visitors to our Church for service and fellowship after service.

The focus of our community life is Sunday worship where we praise God with prayer and song in two different languages. We gather for weekly worship on Sunday mornings. Services are held in German and English. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated the third Sunday of each month unless otherwise posted. Sunday School from 9:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A nursery is also available.

The Lutheran Church is known for worship services which center around the Word of God and the fine musical Church tradition, expressing faith in the language of the people. Worship, study and education are important because a personal faith cannot develop apart from the community of the church. We believe that fellowship and times for gathering, whether to learn or simply enjoy ourselves, are also important. We are a medium sized congregation and can offer these opportunities and give people a chance to become better acquainted if they so desire.

Worship Service
On Sundays, we gather to sing the cherished hymns and contemporary songs of the faith as we gather to praise God. We listen to the Word of God presented in the scriptures and the sermon. We bring our gifts to God and receive God’s gift of Holy Communion, which is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of each month. On occasional Sundays throughout the year, we have a Family Service.  On some Sundays, we are sometimes blessed with a Baptism, or music from our choir, or other special activities. All our services are proceeded and preceded by a time for fellowship as we continue to enjoy each others and God’spresence in our lives.
